Byron Bighorse, a member of the Osage Tribe, leads the Osage Casino Gaming Enterprise as Chief Executive Officer, a role he assumed on December 29, 2014. As CEO, he is responsible for overseeing all facets of the seven Osage Casinos operating in northeastern Oklahoma. Byron brings to the role hands-on experience he gained working within Osage Casino for nearly 10 years. His working knowledge of operations, finance and policy has proven to be crucial in assuring the continued profitability of the casinos.
Prior to assuming his role as CEO, Byron was General Manager of several Osage Casino properties. His responsibility at each property included effectively and efficiently managing all casino operations to drive profitability, ensure compliance with all
MICS, TICS and State Compact regulations as well as developing and mentoring all casino employees. While managing Osage Casino – Sand Springs, he led the team that accomplished the interior and exterior renovation of the property, delivering the project under budget and ahead of schedule, all the while maintaining 100% compliance with industry regulations. At Osage Casino – Skiatook he launched Osage Casino’s entry into the hotel and convenience store business.
Byron joined Osage Casino in 2006 as Event Center Manager, Osage Casino – Tulsa. Byron began his gaming career as Gaming Manager at Cherokee Casino – Catoosa.
Byron holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration- Management from Oklahoma State University.
